Project managers are responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Project managers plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way
ROUTINE DUTIES:
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Prepare & follow budget based on scope of work, estimate, and resource requirements
- Track project costs in order to meet budget
- Manage a detailed project schedule and work plan to track progress of each job
- Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
- Manage the relationship with the client and architect group
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors
- Provide project updates on a weekly basis to BCR managers about project budgets, strategy, adjustments, and progress
- Monitor and measure project performance to identify areas of improvement for adjustments
- Weekly job site visits to analyze on site labor, material, and equipment. Analyzing of project to verify project scope is up to BCR’s standards & done properly via the drawings and specs.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Degree in construction technology or related field is desired but not required
- 5-7 years of experience in restoration desired
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
- Excellent analytical skill
- Excellent communication skills
- Work well in a fast-paced team environment
